If you ask Pamela McFadden how she feels about being a part of HumanKind’s Therapeutic Foster Care program (TFC), she’ll tell you she’s learned a lot and gained a family—but she hasn’t always felt that way.
HumanKind has seven locations across Virginia to help serve children, adults and their families.
This historical property is our original campus and is where many programs and services reside today.
The Webster Center, which houses Little Wings Preschool, the chapel, gymnasium and kitchen, is also located on this campus, along with an outdoor swimming pool, basketball court, fishing pond, and hiking and walking trails.
Centrally located on Memorial Avenue, our Midtown location houses multiple programs and services.
Opened in 1991, this is one of our Group Homes for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. The home has capacity for eight adults.
Another one of our Group Homes for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities, this home opened in 2009. This location offers two models of care for our adult residents, with a capacity for six individuals.
We expanded one of our Economic Empowerment programs to the state capitol in July 2012. Our offices are located in the Partnership for Families building.
This campus offers two models of care for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities and serves up to 44 residents. The campus is also home to our Zuni Gourmet Peanut Shop, which specializes in distributing high quality products that are guaranteed to satisfy even the most discriminating of tastes.
